Transfer News Live: Liverpool Updates, Premier League Developments, and More

Burnley have reached an agreement to sign Hannibal Mejbri from Manchester United. The 21-year-old midfielder, who joined United's youth ranks from Monaco in 2019, has made 13 first-team appearances and scored one goal during his time with the club.

Leeds United are showing interest in Freiburg winger Roland Sallai, though they have not yet submitted a formal offer. The 27-year-old Hungarian international, who has one year remaining on his contract, has scored 27 goals in 162 appearances for Freiburg and was a regular starter in the Bundesliga last season. He appeared as a substitute in their opening game of this campaign.

In other transfer news, Manor Solomon is set to finalize his loan move from Tottenham Hotspur to Leeds United tomorrow. The 25-year-old winger will join the Championship club on a season-long loan, though there is no option to make the deal permanent. Solomon, who joined Tottenham from Shakhtar Donetsk last summer on a five-year deal, is expected to complete his medical shortly.

Meanwhile, Liverpool are considering a move for Juventus winger Federico Chiesa. The 26-year-old, who has been made available for transfer, was left out of Juventus' final three pre-season friendlies. While Liverpool’s interest in Chiesa is described as exploratory, his potential addition could boost their attacking options, which include Mohamed Salah, Luis Diaz, Diogo Jota, Cody Gakpo, Harvey Elliott, and Darwin Nunez. Despite their depth, Liverpool may look to avoid the squad issues that hampered them last season when injuries and poor form led to a drop in league performance.

Elsewhere, Blackpool are close to securing a loan deal for Everton goalkeeper Harry Tyrer. The 22-year-old has previously enjoyed successful loan spells at Chester City and Chesterfield and could complete his move within the next 24 hours.

Charlie Patino has left Arsenal to join Deportivo La Coruna on a permanent basis. The 20-year-old midfielder had been on loan at Blackpool and Swansea City in recent seasons and departs Arsenal with a fee of around £1 million, including a sell-on clause.

Manchester City winger Kayky has joined Dutch side Sparta Rotterdam on a season-long loan. The 21-year-old, who sustained a serious knee injury last summer, has not played senior football since. Kayky joined City from Fluminense in 2022 and has made three first-team appearances.

In La Liga, Dani Olmo’s registration as a Barcelona player has been temporarily approved, paving the way for his potential debut against Rayo Vallecano. Olmo, who rejoined Barcelona from RB Leipzig in a €60 million move earlier this month, has yet to feature for his boyhood club this season due to issues with Barcelona's salary cap.

Chelsea midfielder Leo Castledine has joined Shrewsbury Town on loan. The 19-year-old made his senior debut for Chelsea in a Carabao Cup match against Middlesbrough and has been a regular for their Under-21 side. Shrewsbury, currently at the bottom of League One, are hopeful that Castledine will add quality and maturity to their squad.

Atletico Madrid are considering a loan move for Manchester City midfielder Matheus Nunes. City have yet to receive any formal offers for the 25-year-old Portuguese international, who joined from Wolverhampton Wanderers last summer in a €62 million deal. Nunes made 16 starts for City last season, with a further 15 appearances as a substitute.

Finally, Burnley have rejected a €4 million bid from Trabzonspor for their captain, Josh Brownhill. The 28-year-old, who has one year left on his contract, has been offered a lucrative four-year deal in Turkey. Burnley manager Scott Parker, however, views Brownhill as a key player in the club’s bid to return to the Premier League.
